- Greenhouse: On Friday morning we planted some seeds to grow mixed lettuce, beets, and arugula in our greenhouse. We also harvested and tasted some yummy freckle lettuce leaves. We made some neat observations and recorded our findings in our plant journals too.
*Reminders and Upcoming Events
- Indian Trail April PTO Meeting: The Indian Trail April PTO meeting will be held next Monday, April 16th at 7:00 p.m. in our school library.
- Scholastic Book Orders: Book orders are due by next Tuesday, April 17th.
- "Clean-Up Kid Superhero” Project: Students' creative “Clean-Up Kid Superhero” projects are due by next Wednesday, April 18th.
- Ice Cream Day: Students will have the opportunity to purchase an ice cream/frozen treat next Wednesday, April 18th during lunch for $3.00.
- “Words Their Way” Word Study Assessment: Students will be assessed on their current list of Word Sort words next Friday, April 20th. We have been practicing different word sort activities this week and will continue to practice next week. Your child should also be working on these word sort practice activities at home.
- Library Books: School library books are due by next Friday, April 20th.
- Classroom Request/Tissues and Hand Wipes Needed: Our class is almost out of tissues and is still running low on hand wipes. If possible, please send some tissues and antibacterial hand wipes to school with your child. “Kleenex Anti-Viral” tissues and “Wet Ones” hand wipes are two of the recommended brands to help limit the spread of germs. Thanks for your continued help and support!

- Early Release: Students will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27th. *Students will still be eating their fruit or vegetable snacks and lunches at school.
