- "Physics is Fun" Assembly: Thanks to our supportive PTO, we had a wonderful, interactive, fun filled assembly and some amazing follow-up activities that were “hands on” on Monday morning. Students actively explored different stations, expanding our learning and reviewing how important Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math are in our daily lives. Thank you to all of our PTO volunteers as well.
- Andy Rash Children's Author Visit: The talented children's book author and illustrator, Andy Rush, came to our school on Thursday morning and gave us a wonderful presentation about how he creates his awesome children's books, including his latest picture book, Archie the Daredevil Penguin. *Reminders and Upcoming Events
- Tissues and Hand Wipes Needed: Our class is running very low on tissues and hand wipes. If possible, please send some tissues and hand wipes to school with your child. Kleenex Anti-Viral tissues and Wet Ones hand wipes are two of the recommended brands to help limit the spread of germs. Thank you for your help and support!
- Star Wars Literacy Spirit Week at Indian Trail: Next week our school will be celebrating literacy with fun, thematic spirit days listed at the bottom of this note.
- Ice Cream Day: Students will have the opportunity to purchase an ice cream/frozen treat next Wednesday, December 16th during lunch for $2.00.
- Library Books: Library books are due by next Thursday, December 17th.
- "A Winter's Medley" First Grade Music Program: First grade students will be performing during their music program called "A Winter's Medley" next Friday, December 18th from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the small gym. If possible, please have your child wear winter themed clothing (snowflakes, snowmen, etc.) and/or accessories (scarves, mittens, hats, etc.). We hope you can come!
- Winter Break: Winter break will begin after school next Friday, December 18th. School will resume on Monday, January 4th.
- Attendance Reminder: If your child is going to be absent from school for any reason, please call the school's attendance line and report his/her absence at 224-765-3505.
