*Students’ costumes should be safely designed and age appropriate to allow for adequate vision, mobility, and warmth. Masks cannot be worn. NO TOY WEAPONS of any type will be allowed at school.
- Reading Practice Books: Enjoy listening to your child read out loud from his/her reading practice book at his/her independent reading level each day to practice reinforcing his/her reading strategies and skills.
*Please ask your child questions about the book and discuss what he/she is reading to help strengthen his/her reading comprehension skills.
- Word Wall High Frequency Words Practice: Please have your child continue to practice and learn the high frequency Word Wall Words that have been sent home each week. High frequency words are words that the students will be expected to know how to read. Some of these words may seem easy, but are common words that the students need to be able to spell in their writing and be able to read in text with automaticity. Thank you for your continued help and support at home.
- XtraMath Website: Please continue to have your child work on the XtraMath website as a part of his/her weekly first grade practice routine. This consistent math computation practice will help increase his/her accuracy and fluency.
