– Chinese New Year/The Year of the Monkey: Chinese New Year is celebrated around the world. This year the celebration began on Monday, February 8th and lasts for fifteen days. This holiday is scheduled, using the Lunar Calendar.

- 100th Day of School: We had fun celebrating the 100th Day of School on Wednesday with our collections of 100, math activities, books, and poetry!
- Buddies: We enjoyed sharing some fun Valentine's Day books with our Buddies in Mrs. Sidell's 3rd grade class on Thursday afternoon!
- Valentine’s Day Celebration: We would like to thank Mrs. Snodgrass and Mrs. Bronstein for planning, organizing, and providing us with such a wonderful Valentine's Day class party on Friday morning! We liked making the creative Valentine's Day card holders and eating the yummy decorated sweet treat! We were very excited about opening special valentine cards from each other too!

- No School/Presidents’ Day: We have no school next Monday, February 15th in honor of Presidents’ Day.
- Ice Cream Day: Students will have the opportunity to purchase an ice cream/frozen treat next Wednesday, February 17th during lunch for $2.00.
- Library Books: School library books are due by next Friday, February 19th.
- Box-Tops: Please send Box-Tops to school to help our PTO earn additional funds. Each Box-Top is worth ten cents. The current PTO Box-Top classroom collection ends next Friday, February 19th.
- Math Centers: We are looking forward to doing some fun math activities during Math Centers next Friday, February 19th from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the morning with help from Mrs. Bronstein, Mrs. Drucker, and Mrs. Leite.
- Hand Wipes & Tissue Donations: Thank you to the Bronstein, Licup, Snodgrass, and Walter families for donating hand wipes and tissues for our classroom!
- Math Centers: We are looking forward to doing fun math activities during Math Centers on Friday, March 11th from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the morning with help from Mrs. Bronstein, and Mrs. Leite.

- Attendance Reminder: If your child is going to be absent from school, please call the school's attendance line and report his/her absence at 224-765-3505.
