*Reminders and Upcoming Events:
- Spider Homework Activity: Creative spiders and completed lists of materials used are due by next Tuesday, October 27th.
- Indian Trail Fall Coat and Boot Drive: Families are encouraged to donate new and gently-used, clean, warm coats and boots to help support our local families in need now through next Wednesday, October 28th. Donations are being collected near our front office.
- Highland Park High School Halloween Concert: Students from Indian Trail will be walking over to Highland Park High School next Thursday, October 29th at 9:30 in the morning to see their exciting, musical Halloween Concert performance!
- Library Books: School library books are due by next Friday, October 30th.
- Halloween Parade: Families and friends are invited to come and see our annual outdoor Halloween costume parade from 1:50 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. next Friday, October 30th. Please send your child to school with his/her Halloween costume in a bag that day, so we can change in the afternoon. Students’ costumes should be safely designed and age appropriate to allow for adequate vision, mobility, and warmth. Masks cannot be worn. NO TOY WEAPONS of any type will be allowed at school. NOVEMBER:
- No School/Veterans’ Day: We do not have school on Wednesday, November 11th in honor of Veterans’ Day.
- Ice Cream Day: Students will have the opportunity to purchase an ice cream/frozen treat on Wednesday, November 18th during lunch for $2.00.
- No School/Parent-Teacher Conferences: There will be no school on Monday, November 23rd and Tuesday, November 24th for Parent-Teacher Conferences.
– No School/Thanksgiving Break: There will also be no school on Wednesday, November 25th, Thursday, November 26th, and Friday, November 27th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
DECEMBER:
- Early Release: Students will be dismissed at 1:00 on Friday, December 4th. Students will still be having their healthy fruit or vegetable snacks in the morning and will be eating their lunches at school.
- Ice Cream Day: Students will have the opportunity to purchase an ice cream/frozen treat on Wednesday, December 16th during lunch for $2.00.
- Winter Break: Winter break will begin after school on Friday, December 18th. School will resume on Monday, January 4th.
