– Subscribe to our Classroom Blog: Please subscribe to our classroom Blog. Our classroom blog website is: http://hvandervere.weebly.com/. Please enter your email into the “subscribe box” on the right-hand side of the page. After you subscribe in the box on my blog, you will also have to check your email to confirm your subscription.
- Home Folders: Please go through your child’s blue Home Folder with him/her every evening and empty it, checking for notes, class work, homework, etc. Daily News Journals, completed homework, forms, and any notes from home should be brought back to school inside your child's blue Home Folder.
- Daily News Journal: Your child's Daily News Journal needs be shared each day it comes home to help your child discuss information about his/her school day. If your child’s Daily News writing and/or illustration is not done, please have your child complete it for HOMEWORK.The Daily News journal entries also need to be initialed and returned to school inside your child's blue Home Folder the next day.
- Art Smocks: Please send an art smock to school for Art class if you have not already sent one to school.
*Upcoming Events
- No School/Rosh Hashanah: We do not have school next Monday, September 14th.
- Ice Cream Day: Students will have their first opportunity to purchase an ice cream/frozen treat next Wednesday, September 16th during lunch for $2.00. Students who are already signed up and have paid for ice cream will have their names on the PTO's ice cream list.
- Open House/Curriculum Night: Parents are invited to come to Indian Trail School next Thursday, September 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the evening to learn about our school and our first grade curriculum.
- Library Books: School library books are due by next Friday, September 18th.
- No School/Yom Kippur: We have no school on Wednesday, September 23rd.
- 112 Education Foundation 13th Annual 5K Fun(d) Run and Family Walk: This amazing community event will be held on Saturday, September 26th at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park at 8:00 a.m. All proceeds will benefit the 112 Education Foundation Scholarship Fund for students in our school district.
- Early Release: Students will be dismissed at 1:00 on Friday, October 9th. Healthy fruit or vegetable snacks and lunches will still be eaten at school.
- School Picture Day: Students will be having their school photographs taken on Friday, October 9th.
- No School/Columbus Day: We do not have school on Monday, October 12th on Columbus Day.
- No School/Teacher Institute Day: Students do not have school on Tuesday, October 13th for Teacher Institute Day.
