*Reminders and Updates:
- No School/Parent-Teacher Conferences: There will be no school next Monday, November 23rd and Tuesday, November 24th for Parent-Teacher Conferences. I am looking forward to meeting with all of you next week! First grade students do not attend our November conferences in the Fall, but will join us for our March conferences in the Spring. If you need to reschedule your conference day and/or time, please contact me as soon as possible by emailing me at [email protected] or by calling me at school at 224-765-3457.
- No School/Thanksgiving Break: There will also be no school next Wednesday, November 25th, Thursday, November 26th, and Friday, November 27th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
- Library Books: School library books are due on Monday, November 30th. DECEMBER:
- Donations for "Day of Giving": Our Indian Trail School community will be collecting donations of toiletry items, including razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, combs, body soaps, hygiene products, shampoo, conditioner, Chapstick, lotion, liquid hand soaps/cleaners, hand sanitizers, etc. to help local families in need for Elm Place School's Day of Giving on Saturday, December 5th. Donations are being collected by the front office at school now through Thursday, December 3rd. Thank you for your help and support!
- Early Release: Students will be dismissed at 1:00 on Friday, December 4th. Students will still be having their healthy fruit or vegetable snacks in the morning and will be eating their lunches at school.
- Math Centers: We are looking forward to doing some more fun math activities during Math Centers on Friday, December 11th from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the morning with help from Mrs. Antunez, Mrs. Drucker, Mrs. Leite, and Mrs. Siegal.
- Ice Cream Day: Students will have another opportunity to purchase an ice cream/frozen treat on Wednesday, December 16th during lunch for $2.00.
- "A Winter's Medley" First Grade Music Program: First grade students will be performing during their music program called "A Winter's Medley" on Friday, December 18th from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the small gym. If possible, please have your child wear winter themed clothing (snowflakes, snowmen, etc.) and/or accessories (scarves, mittens, hats, etc.). We hope you can come!
- Winter Break: Winter break will begin after school on Friday, December 18th. School will resume on Monday, January 4th.
- Attendance Reminder: If your child is going to be absent from school for any reason, please call the school's attendance line and report his/her absence at 224-765-3505.
